Material ledger activated over finished goods

Hi Gurus

My company were using a plant just for finished goods and ML Was not activated. Now We have activated the ML and ML is also available for production startup. Issue is here that ML is only activated for material type finished goods. When we are extending any material other than material type finished goods in MM01 accounting tab 1. Multiple currencies are not appearing and  ML activated check is also not checked. What has been missed during configuration?
